Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2, 1985) is an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her role as Molly Solverson in the first season of the FX TV show Fargo. Tolman received accolades for her portrayal of Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson, with Vanity Fair noting the following "calmly and certainly stole the entire film". Tolman was awarded the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for a movie/ministry, and was also nominated for Best Actress at both the Emmy Awards & Golden Globes for her role. Tolman's appearance in the film The Mindy Project, as romance writer Abby Berman for two episodes that premiered on the same day. In 2015, she played as a character supporting Michael Dougherty's comedy horror film Krampus. Her breakout performance as Fargo was the reason she decided to leave various supporting roles, such as mother roles and best friends, wives and husbands.
